History

Rotary Club of Albany was chartered just three months prior to the fourth convention of Rotary. What was then the "International Association of Rotary Clubs" gathered 930 delegates in Buffalo, New York 18-21 August of 1913.

Albany became the 68th club in Rotary and the sixth from the State of New York. The club came into Rotary during the term of RI President Glenn Meade of Philadelphia, the first president of the international organization.

Today, the 128 members meet at Yono's Restaurant at the Armony Center, corner of Central & Colvin Ave. each Thursday at 12:15 PM. For information, call 518-448-5060
